Stephanie Meyer to be producer for “Breaking Dawn”
The announcement that Bill Condon will direct The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn came with another in-laid piece of news: Stephenie Meyer will serve as producer on the film for the first time in her Twilight film career.
A lot of you have reached out with inquiries about what it means that she’ll serve as a producer, so here’s the basic gist of what a producer is, does, and how it relates to Stephenie Meyer and Breaking Dawn.
For starters, a producer, by generic definition is “the person on a movie set who makes sure everyone shows up and knows what to do when—and who knows beforehand what’s being served for lunch.”
Prior Twilight Saga film producers, whose names you might recognize, include Wyck Godfrey and Karen Rosenfelt (who’ll return to that position for Breaking Dawn, according to the announcement) as well as Greg Mooradian. We’ve also had “executive producers” (definition: “often owns the rights to a book or story idea or secures at least 25 percent of the film’s budget . . . rarely have creative or technical involvement and are often caught up with several projects at once”) like Marty Bowen, Michele Imperato Stabile, Guy Oseary, and Mark Morgan; “co-producers” (definition: “works under the producer and often helps with casting, financing, or postproduction”) such as Jamie Marshall and Bill Bannerman; “associate producers” (“a largely honorary title”) like Patrick Thomas Smith and David Roker; and “consulting producers” (definition: “generally a high-level writer who is contributing . . . but is not one of the principal forces”).
You’re probably thinking: there’s no way Stephenie Meyer is taking a producer role to make sure the actors show up or have lunch on the table every day. No doubt you’re right about that.
Eclipse Movie News for SA
Okay so I decide I’d posting something regarding the Eclipse movie here in South Africa. A lot of you are emailing me, asking “Will there be a midnight screening?”, “Where can I get my tickets?” and more questions like that.
The movie is being released on the 30th, the exact same day as the Untied States but will there be a midnight screening? I do not know. I’ve asked Nu Metro and all the could tell me was that they can’t answer that just yet, but they will soon. So all you twi-hard fans will just have to be patient for a while longer.
Obviously tickets are not on sale yet. If they were I would post that immediately on the site. So all I’m asking you guys is to be a patient for a while longer. I know the waiting tortures but we just have to wait, I’m mean it’s still April, almost May there’s still two months till Eclipse is out.
If you have any other concerns about this, email us at twilightsouthafrica@gmail.com and I will get to you as soon as possible.

Kristen to star as the lead in “Wanted” sequel?
Rumors are afloat that Kristen Stewart could take over the female lead role in the action sequel “Wanted 2″. Angelina Jolie was originally offered the role but has since moved on. Kristen would most likely not play the same character that Jolie played in the first film. I think this is just speculation at this point. We’ll post details as they come.
Sources tell E! News that the studio and director behind the sequel to Wanted have expressed interest in snagging K.Stew to follow in Angelina Jolie’s footsteps as the female lead, starring alongside James McAvoy.
While details are still pretty scarce, Stewart’s character would be a young, ass-kicking assassin in the Fraternity.
Even MTV thinks Miss Stewart has the chops to handle an action movie like “Wanted”.
New “Eclipse” still of Riley and the Newborn
Remember that cool scene from the final “Eclipse” trailer where Riley & the newborns rise up out of the water? Well MTV has just spoiled us Twi-hards with an exclusive still of that scene.
In what was perhaps once of the best moments in the second “Eclipse” trailer, we saw Victoria’s (Bryce Dallas Howard) newborn army ominously follow her right-hand man, Riley (Xavier Samuel), into a body of water and then suddenly emerge on the other side with the stern look of vengeance in their eyes.
If you’ve been thinking about that scene ever since you watched the trailer on Friday (and no doubt on a continuous loop over the weekend), then get ready to be chilled all over again! In honor of Summer Movie Preview Week here on MTV News, we’re bringing you an EXCLUSIVE new still from “Eclipse”!
While we’re sad Bree Tanner (Jodelle Ferland) doesn’t seem to be in the picture, it still got our hearts pumping as we realized this had be the scene when Victoria sends her newborn army to Forks in preparation for the final confrontation. If we looked that good soaked in muddy lake water, we’d probably use that as our mode of transportation, too!
I see trouble brewing. Are we about to switch to Team Riley now?

Ashley Greene, on Paparazzi: “Yeah, I know their cars. Bit there’s always people sitting outside my house. I put my own security system in my apartment because you have to worry about people getting a little too obsessed.”
Ashley Greene, on the new Young Hollywood: “We’re not all crazy! … I feel like that whole generation, that’s dying down now, thinks they’re higher than God and can do whatever they want. [Young Hollywood] now are people who really love the business.”
Before getting booked at Twilight:“There were a lot of little things along the way that happened just as my parents would say ‘Ok, its time to come home and go to college…So I built a resume that I could, you know, embellish a little.”
On Breaking Dawn: “If they make one, let’s be honest, I’m gonna do it.”

8 Things FearNet Loved About the ‘Eclipse’ Trailer
FEARnet has 8 things they loved about the Eclipse trailer.
Werewolves and Volturi and newborns, oh my! The final trailer for June’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was unveiled today, revealing lots of interesting things about David Slade’s take on the third novel.
Summit’s been rather tight-lipped with previews for the third Twilight film; we’ve only had one previous teaser trailer thus far, in comparison to the endless clips and trailers and trailers for trailers we’ve had on the last two installments. So they decided to unveil their final look at the darker, more violent Eclipse in a big way… on Oprah!
Some fans may have wanted more of the same old Edward-Bella-Jacob mooning, but the final Eclipse trailer delivers something perhaps more important: in the span of just 90 seconds, it packs in wolves, vampires, Cullens, Volturi, intrigue, action, and plenty of glimpses of the new enemy in Eclipse, Victoria’s army of newborn vampires. It gives a sense of the suspense and violence in Eclipse (out June 30) and of the darker and hopefully bloodier atmosphere set by Victoria’s vengeful rampage across Seattle. This promises to be a Twilight movie with more, well, menace.
Herewith, eight things we kind of-sort of-loved about the trailer!
