Well everybody knows that Eclipse was also released for IMAX cinemas. I was going to visit their site to see if Eclipse was going to show here in South African IMAX theaters. I was so shocked at what I came across on their site.

Both IMAX Gateway and Menlyn are closed from the 30th June 2010 for any enquiries please call 031 5664417/9

Just a quick heads up, if you are booking for Ster-Kinekor don’t book for the 1 minute past midnight show. That timing is currently suspended.

Ster-Kinekor Theatres: Nu Metro Distribution owns the rights to The Twilight Saga: ECLIPSE and are not allowing us to host our “1 minute past midnight” screenings… Don’t despair! Our 3am & 6am screenings are still going ahead; bookings are open for these shows.

Nu Metro Cinemas has confirmed midnight screenings on the evening of Tuesday 29 June at 23:59 (to avoid confusion about the date).

Announcements will be made in the next hour on Facebook and Twitter, but I’d like to let the dedicated ZA bloggers have at it first.

Bookings will open on May 28, and tickets will be R50,00 each.

So twisafans mark your calenders.

The days are counting down to the release of “Eclipse” in cinemas & Ster-Kinekor has decided to tease us South Africans even more by putting up the poster in the “Showing Soon” slot. Don’t you just wish it was June already? This is the poster from the Ster-Kinekor Junction in the North Cape Mall, Kimberley. Feel free to share snaps of your local cinema advertising the coming release of “Eclipse” in the comments section, may it be local or international.

Okay so I decide I’d posting something regarding the Eclipse movie here in South Africa. A lot of you are emailing me, asking “Will there be a midnight screening?”, “Where can I get my tickets?” and more questions like that.

The movie is being released on the 30th, the exact same day as the Untied States but will there be a midnight screening? I do not know. I’ve asked Nu Metro and all the could tell me was that they can’t answer that just yet, but they will soon. So all you twi-hard fans will just have to be patient for a while longer.

Obviously tickets are not on sale yet. If they were I would post that immediately on the site. So all I’m asking you guys is to be a patient for a while longer. I know the waiting tortures but we just have to wait, I’m mean it’s still April, almost May there’s still two months till Eclipse is out.

Nu Metro has released the date for ‘The Runaways’ through their twitter. It will be coming out here on the 18 June and in the USA it will be released on the 19 March. Yeah their a bit far from each other, but oh well.

This news was released a couple of days ago but I’m posting it encase some of you don’t know. The Eclipse movie was first meant to be released on the 23 July 2010, after the world cup. Last month Nu Metro moved it to the 2nd July 2010 and now this month they moved it again but to the 30 June 2010, which is the same release date in the USA. So at Nu Metro cinemas it will be released on the 30 June 2010. As for Ster-Kinekor they will be releasing it on the 2nd July but hopefully they’ll move it to the 30th.

Also the Eclipse trailer will be released sometime next month (Before Robs movie Remember Me hits cinemas in the US) online. Stay tuned for the trailer, seriously cant wait.
